Now that the fever of election season has broken, it looks like a relatively quiet week on the Bergen County beat.

Here are a few things to watch for:

1.The Bergen Community College Board of Trustees meets at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the TEC building on the Paramus campus at 400 Paramus Avenue. Among the items on the agenda: appointment of a general counsel.

2.The freeholders have a 4:30 p.m. work session scheduled for Wednesday in the caucus room on the fifth floor of the County Administration building at One Bergen County Plaza in Hackensack. No word yet on the agenda.

3. The Board of Elections meets at 6 p.m. in the County Administration building to review about 1,350 provisional ballots cast in last Tuesday’s election. The ballots have the potential to decide the outcome in a several close races, including council seats in Mahwah and Wallington as well as some school board elections.

4. Nearly 20 children will be adopted in a ceremony in the Bergen County Courthouse at 8:30 a.m. Friday as part of the county’s celebration of Adoption Day.

5. As part of that same celebration, there will a gathering for all families who adopted children in 2014 on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at World of Wings, 1775 Windsor Road in Teaneck,

6. I’ll also be watching this week to see if County Executive-elect James Tedesco announces his choices for his transition team. Stay tuned.
